| The Town of Vassalboro is governed by a
Board of Selectmen who are elected. They hire a Town Manager who
conducts the day to day business of he town. The town also has
several elected and appointed committees such as The School
Committee, The Budget Committee, The Planning Board, and others.
All told, these various groups involve residents with
decision-making here. Each spring citizens gather for a
traditional "Town Meeting" at which budgetary items and
other town business are weighed and accepted, or not. Below are
